Terror Attacks Hit Mumbai

Around 12 am (2 pm ET) the city of Mumbai, India was taken by storm by an unknown terrorist organization . 70+ people are confirmed dead by the Indian government, another 200 injured with numbers and attacks growing.

An unconfirmed terrorist group stormed the Taj Hotel in South Mumbai, India (formerly Bombay) spraying gunfire in the lobby and throwing grenades at guests and off the roofs of the hotels. Their motive is not yet known, but reports have been funneling in of terrorists demanding to know who had American or British passports. One Italian man was able to slip into the kitchen in the midst of the chaos in order to report that the terrorists were specifically targeting those of British and American origins.

Following the storming of the luxory Taj Hotel, there were reports of attacks at Cafe Leopole, Oberoi Hotel, Cama Hospital (the Metropolitian hospital), the central police station, and a cinema in the North of Bombay. There are reports of hostage situations in the Oberoi Hotel and the Taj Hotel, but no hostages have been identified. The U.S. State Department has released a statement saying that they do not believe that any of the hostages are Officials of the U.S. and no records of American causalities as of yet.

The Indian Army, Navy, and Police are in the streets of Mumbai at this time(abt. 3am local) and the city is essentially on lock down, with most residents frightened in their homes tonight. At this time Indian police have stormed the hotel and after a gun battle 3 police and 2 terrorists are dead with another 9 gunmen in custody.

Mumbai is the essential economic city in India and the capital of the Indian state of Maharashtra . The harbor city is located on the western coast of India and is considered to be the most populated city in the world with some thirteen million people.

As a personal note, I would like to say that my thoughts and prayers go out to my Aunt, who’s family and friends still live in Mumbai as well as those affected by this terror attack.

GOP Rolls Out "New" Image: Pretty In Mink

Those wily hypocrites at the GOP are at it again trying to revamp their image. Of course we all remember how much they called the Democrats adoration of now president-elect Obama his “celebrity.” It’s interesting how they would go the same route, but putting out the all-fur calendar “Pretty in Mink.”

Apparently this is supposed to be “offensive” to liberals who don’t really like the usage of fur or killing animals. The calendar is being given away free to college students to put up on their wall. Objectifying women is a terrible thing when Democrats do it, but completely acceptable when the GOP decides to run with the idea. Of course heaven forbid anyone knock this…we might be labeled sexist.

Check out some of the “saucy” photos of these women that you wouldn’t bring to a cheap motel never mind bringing home to mother for the holidays. YPA Press has ordered two or three of them already, we figured we could give them away as wrapping paper for the copies of Barack Obama’s book we’re giving to our friends and family. Below are Coulter, Malkin, and Carpenter.Now we would be unfair if we didn’t show the Democrats “hotties” when discussing women. So here you go YPA Press readers. 23/6 Thank You Palin Video: Warning May Be Offensive!

Apparently the video by the jokesters at 23/6.com has struck a cord with some people. As comments are coming in that it was tasteless and rude.

What else is tasteless and rude is considering someone whose a mental midget to be “articulate” in the way that Mark Williams and his cronies over at Our Country PAC have done. What is also semi-tasteless is shooting animals from a helicopter. Or if you really wanted to push the envelope of good taste, showing up in full uniform as a sheriff of county in Florida to campaign for Sarah Palin while announcing in a derogatory fashion that you’re going to “send Barack Huessien Obama back to where he came from.” Interesting that Mr. Williams hasn’t made mention of the rabble rousing that took place throughout his PAC’s bus tour. So much so that the Secret Service investigated members of Palin crowds for yelling “kill him” and “terrorist” about the now 44th President of the United States.

Mark Williams Calls YPA: "Poor Sick Bastards"

The right wing love fest is not over as comedian Mark Williams of MarkTalks.com decided to show the YPA Press some love. In an article our site wrote about Ann Coulter breaking her jaw and having to get it wired shut we screamed irony and laughed our fool heads off. Apparently Mr. Williams didn’t take to kindly to us making fun of his other Republican celebrity crush.

In a post on Mr. Williams blog, he wrote:

Unconfirmed Report that Ann Coulter falls, breaks jaw. Leftie blog runs with it, thinks that’s funny, wishes similar to Mark Williams

Bear in mind that this is the peace and love crowd.

My radio listeners have heard me talking with these freaks for years, when I wade into their demonstrations with a live mic. Casey the Pound Dog (photo below) has a file of several hundred death threats from these kinds of weirdos (Holly has a thousand or so of her own, I have a couple of thousand….and an uncounted pile of “get brain cancer!” wishes.)

The particular site linked has had its roach clips all twisted in a knot over me since learning that I had the audacity to say “thank you” to Sarah Palin, just in time for Thanksgiving.

Maybe God could take a break from Waterboarding their souls long enough for them to experience even a single moment of joy.

Mr. Williams seems to think that for some reason we hate all Republicans, this of course is not true. If you’ll notice to the left of this post is a widget (Mr. Williams we know you don’t know what a widget is, so before you go calling us perverts or something it’s a gadget that goes on your blog. Not some sort of weird sex toy that you’d like to use on Governor Palin or Ann Coulter.) with all the links to Pat Buchanan’s posts. See, we at YPA Press respect actual conservative ideals. You know, well formed opinions with historical precedent to back them up.

Editorial: Obama Using News Cycle To Boost Black Friday Sales?

While the pundits discussed for a second day in a row President-elect Obama’s news conferences and the meaning behind his economic team. AP reports that the Dow is up over 900 points in two days.

Interestingly enough the President-elect has spoken and announced his new financial cabinet consumer confidence soured. Mr. Obama thus far has showed us that he’s always thinking one step ahead. As reports come out increasingly of him knowing exactly how to control a news cycle.
With consumer confidence being the main concern, in other words people aren’t buying nearly as much with the current economic crisis and Wall Street is taking the brunt of that hit. I believe this announcement of cabinet is a perfectly timed maneuver by the Office of the President-elect to boost the market, giving people the impression that things are okay. Mr. Obama is essentially telling the consumer around the biggest holiday shopping day of the year; it’s okay we finally have some adults in control of this thing.

People like to see someone that is cool under pressure and talking to them matter-of-factly about the things they’re going to do in the White House. Mr. Obama promised tax cuts for the middle class in a time where the national debt is around 10 trillion dollars. By coming on national television and explaining to the American people that this is going to come out of the government by eliminating unnecessary spending, wasteful programs that are a bureaucratic nightmare of red tape, and doing common sense things like switching medical records to electronic databases.

This type of tactic shows the average consumer around the holidays that it’s going to be okay. That the market is indeed starting to rally, and it’s fine to go out and purchase things for Christmas for your families. This is a move that was done without saying “go out and shop,” as the current administration advocated.

I believe this is a brilliant move and shows a master political tactician that we’ve not seen since the Clinton administration. Though it is not surprising coming from the likes of Rahm Emanuel who knows very well how to control a news cycle, and the now infamous David Axelrod. The Obama-Think-Tank in Chicago is quietly asserting what little political power it has to quash the concerns of a nation on the bring of another Great Depression. How nice it is once again to see thoughtful, insightful, and intelligent people back in the White House again. Relax, Mr. Obama has this under control.

Palin and Obama To Meet In Georgia

The Anchorage Daily News is reporting that Palin will meet President-elect Obama early next week when she travels to Philadelphia after stumping for Chambliss in Georgia:

The governor is planning a trip to Georgia to campaign on behalf of Georgia Republican Sen. Saxby Chambliss early next week on her way to Philadelphia to meet with her old foe, President-elect Barack Obama.

Obama is meeting with governors of both parties in Philadelphia to talk about the ailing economy. It’s not clear how many governors are going to attend the Obama event, which the National Governors Association helped put together.

“I don’t know if she has a one-on-one with (Obama),” said Palin spokesman Bill McAllister. “It may be, given that they were both involved in the national campaign.” McAllister said Palin will be in Philadelphia on Monday and Tuesday, and the state will pay for it. He said the Chambliss campaign will pay for Palin’s side trip to Georgia.

It should be interesting to see the President-elect in the same room with a woman who doesn’t read newspapers. Obama’s daughters have more stamps on their passports than the Governor of Alaska. Interesting to ponder the simple fact that while Obama is going into the White House, Governor Palin is currently being investigated yet again for ethics charges in Alaska for a interview granted with Fox News.
